What is Lyla Rose Games?

It's a small collection of free games made by a dad for his daughter, Lyla. She comes up with most of the ideas (unicorns, cheeky lemurs, a purple dinosaur who drives a train) and tests every game before it goes up. Other kids are very welcome to play too.

The games are simple and gentle: bright colours, silly sounds and no scary bits. Each one is quick to pick up, and new games are added regularly.

Safe to play

• No ads - nothing pops up, and no games are secretly adverts.
• No in-game purchases - everything is free, and there's nothing to unlock with money.
• No sign-ups or logins - kids just tap Play.
• No chat or messaging - kids can't talk to strangers, and strangers can't talk to them.
• No links out - the games don't send kids off to other websites or app stores.

Privacy

• We never ask for personal details - no names, emails, photos or birthdays.
• We count visits anonymously with Google Analytics, so we know which games are popular. It records things like the type of device, the rough area (country or city) and which pages were visited - it doesn't tell us who anyone is. Advertising features and cross-device tracking are switched off.
• Best scores and favourites stay on your device. Some games remember your child's best score or last level, and any games they star as favourites are remembered in the browser, so they're there next time. None of it is ever sent anywhere, and clearing the browser's data for this site wipes it.

Playing on phones and tablets

• Every game works in the browser on phones, tablets (including iPads) and computers - with touch, mouse or keyboard. Nothing to install.
• Tip: add the site to your home screen and it opens full screen like an app, with no browser bar for little fingers to tap by accident. On iPhone or iPad: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android: tap the menu, then Add to Home screen or Install app.
• Games have music and sound effects - keep the volume handy.
